I started my career in fashion when I was 18 years old in Memphis, Tn. I studied Communications and Fashion merchandising at The University of Memphis where I began to really dive in to my passion for fashion and styling people! I got a job as a buyer and store manager for a local clothing boutique while I was in college and soaked up anything and everything I possibly could for the next four years. I developed life long relationships with some of the top clothing vendors all over the US all while continuing to educate myself on the ins and outs of the wholesale/retail industry.

Once I graduated, I received a job offer to become a district manager of an up and coming boutique franchise. I successfully ran a team of 30 plus employees while managing six different locations across the US. This job opportunity was crucial to my career journey as it taught me so many life long lessons in the retail industry and really opened my eyes to how I would want to run a business one day.

Fast forward to 2017, I opened my very own women’s boutique, KELLY.boutique. It was a lifestyle boutique and an absolute labor of love. I was able to work with all of my favorite brands and style all of my clients with my own product! It was an absolute dream! Unfortunately, Covid hit and like everything else, she was history.

Life has taught me that no matter what knocks you down, you just have to make sure you can continue to get up faster each time. That’s the lesson! So here we are, three years later, scraping our knees and getting back up! Rachel Leah Consulting combines all of my favorite aspects of fashion in one.
